Every once in a while, you need to read that page-turner that will get you thinking, shock the senses, and is 100% true. I had a chance over the weekend to read “In Plain Sight: The Kaufman County Prosecutor Murders” by Kathryn Casey. Let me tell you what – I loved this book from the first page to the last.
The author takes you on a journey with no “whodunit” mystery – you know who does it. She unpacks the killer from his youth through his incarceration – often relying on interviews with the killer himself and family, friends, and other witnesses.
This book reminded me of some of my favorites in the business world – often written by Kurt Eichenwald or Michale Lewis. However, this one revolves around true crime.
An excellent book for the airplane ride, the weekend, or just a break from routine. I highly recommend “In Plain Sight: The Kaufman County Prosecutor Murders” to anyone looking for something different.
